The Committee Kebab Lamp series is an ongoing experiment in anti-design that began in 2003. Each lamp stand is made by skewering a selection of found objects, antiques and other miscellany no longer in use, with the aim of exciting the viewer with a complex collision of colour and reference. The results can be viewed either as a postmodern grotesque or as a source of abstract, compositional beauty.
